Zindagi Migzara

Representational Picture

Mayhap, my fate was calligraphed

On a windy autumn night

Wherefore, I keep on falling

How beautifully my soul yearns for

An elfin candle light

Trespassing

living like a naive lady

pretending to live.

They burned my soul

with tormenting torture

Last night, I had a fight

With the Calligrapher of my fate

My heart was sinking, but I didn’t give up

Asked for death

And whispered,

Let this cursed soul wounded with scars

Sleep in the lap of angels

Let the angels sing melancholy for

this cursed autumn

With the sword of hope

my Calligrapher stabbed me

Burned the grief stricken pages of my past

My nerves blocked

with passing time, All the organs

led to the downfall

Your fate will remain the same

Till you step into your deathbed!

But you will rise like a phoenix

I’ll gift you with an invisible jacket

Of endurance

One day I’ll set you free

From your caged life

One day you’ll eat your own heart

On the doomsday

Like an accursed autumn leaf

They all shall fall

Rabiya! If not today

after a while you will say

Indeed zindagi migzara

*The Calligrapher of my fate whispered*
