Nasa’s Hubble telescope uncovered the farthest star ever seen

NASA scientists, using Hubble Space Telescope, have discovered the farthest star ever seen, nicknamed Icarus.

It is located over half way across the universe (about 5 billion light years from earth).

Scientists estimate that its light takes 9 billion years to reach earth.
