Inter-college football competition for men commenced at Kashmir University on Tuesday.
On the first day of the event, four matches were scheduled to play. In the opening match Islamia College defeated GDC Kangan by 4-0 goals, in the second match Ganderbal defeated GDC Sumbal by 3-1 goals and GDC Chari Shareef defeated GDC Bijbeharia by 3-1 in the 3rd match of the tournament.
In the fourth match of the tournament, DGC Sogam got the walkover in absence of the opponents GDC Shopian.
Only the Kashmir division’s 32 college teams are set to participate in the event.
