ICC appointed Indra Nooyi as its new woman director

Pepsico chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi will join International Cricket Council (ICC), the world cricket governing body as a new director from June this year.

The ICC appointed Indra Nooyi on February 09, 2018 as its first independent woman director.

Mrs Nooyi is a global business leader, consistently ranked by Fortune Magazine among the World’s Most Powerful Women.

Adding another independent director – particularly a female – is an important step towards improving our governance,” said ICC Chairman, Shashank Manohar.  “To have someone of Indra’s calibre is fantastic news for the global game – she is frequently recognized as one of the most influential people in business today and she running one of the world’s biggest corporations.”
