
Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman reached yet another milestone on 22nd July, as he became the quickest player to reach1000 runs in ODIs. Fakhar smashed 85 runs in just 83 balls against host team Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
Fakhar, who reached the mark of 1000 runs in his 18th innings, surpassed the West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards, who reached 1000 ODI-runs in his 21st Innings.

Besides Richards, the record of 21 innings was held jointly by five batsmen, with Pakistan’s Babar Azam the last one to join the club. Among the others are Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Quinton de Kock. Indian Capitan Virat Kohli has reached the same mark in his 24 ODI-match.
Earlier, the 28-years-old, Fakhar, became the first Pakistani Batsman on Friday to score 200 runs against Zimbabwe in One-Day Internationals.
In the same match Fakhar with Imam- ul Haq broke a world partnership record, as both the openers managed to reach 304 runs.
In 5 match ODI series against Zimbabwe that concluded yesterday, Fakhar has scored 60, 117*, 43*, 210* and 85.
