DPS Srinagar Organizes First Ever Inter-School Night Football Tournament

Delhi Public School Srinagar in collaboration with Army Public School Srinagar is going to organizes the first ever football competition for schools in Kashmir. The tournament titled ‘Chinar Cup’ will start from today evening in the school.

The knockout competition has 16 groups and everyday two matches will be played. They last of the competition will be hung on 16th September, 2018.

In the opening competition today, DPS Srinagar will face off with Sanctorium School, Sopore.

The Pro-Vice Chairman DP Dhar Memorial Trust, Vijay Dhar clarified the justification behind the competition: “DPS Srinagar is conferred towards developing perfection in all circles of society building, and advancement of game is a piece of that undertaking. Our point is to give the adolescent each sort of presentation and inspiration that they require to contend at a worldwide level.”

Elaborating on this, the Principal Mr Alastair Freese clarified “Our foundation is currently at standard with any universal establishment, and our each exertion lies in using it to saddle ability. Night football won’t just open understudies to another experience yet additionally build up the games culture of state further. We are incredibly energized at being the pioneers in this field.”

The schools taking an interest in the competition are Delhi Public School Srinagar, Army Public School Srinagar, Tyndale Biscoe Srinagar, Burnhall School Srinagar, Green Valley Educational Institute, Dr AGMs City School, DPS Budgam, AGS Hanzik, KV No 1 Srinagar, J&K Sainik School Manasbal, AGS Wuzur, AGS Pahalgam, Sanctorum School Sopore, AGS Sopore and Bandipora, AGS Krusan and Chandigam.
