A Group of Kashmiri students invented solar-powered boat

A group of Kashmiri engineering students from a private college in Chandigarh have invented an eco-friendly solar-powered motor-boat.

On 21st July, Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Syed Abid Rasheed Shah along with students, launched the two-seater boat with a load capacity of 150 kg and demonstrated it in Dal Lake.

The deputy commissioner while launching the project assured the students for future help and said a project could bring a revolution.

“The government will also look for implementing the idea of solar-powered boats inside Dal Lake to reduce pollution,” he added.
