Deep in the woods of war
I saw a soldier singing a song of peace.
His legs broken
His blood all around him
But his voice like a sweet breeze
Fear of loneliness but still the joy of pride
A gun on his shoulder and a rose in his hand
He was singing the song of peace.
Tears streaming down his cheeks,
But no sign of stopping the song.
He had to choose a way,
back to home or the place where all the legends go
It could be the last hour of his life
Or the starting of
a new one.
