The department has also decided to deploy poorly performing teachers for remedial classes in their respective schools during winter vacations to prepare the students for their supplementary exams to be held by JK Board of School Education (BOSE) in coming February.
“All arrangements on account of remedial classes will be done by concerned teachers who have produced poor results,” the circular reads.
“The principals of the concerned district institute of education and training (DIETs) will monitor progress and functioning of remedial teaching in schools and submit a weekly report to the directorate.”
Itoo said the department is yet to get details of schools from JKBOSE which have produced zero per cent or below 20 per cent results.
“List has not been prepared but I have asked concerned CEOs to take action as per directions issued in the circular,” he said.
An official said names of the schools with zero per cent results will be submitted to the directorate following which action will be taken against the headmasters.
