Re-Exam of 12th Class Shopian Student who missed test due to ‘illegal’ detention, Says BOSE

The 16-year-old, Ubaid Ahmad Bhat studying in 12th class couldn’t appear in the test for environmental sciences paper scheduled on Wednesday because of “illegal detention”.

Ubaid hails from Muloo Chitragam village of Shopian district was detained by the police in place of his brother during a raid on Tuesday night.

As per the media reports, advisor to the governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai has ordered Jammu and Kashmir State Board of school education (BOSE) to conduct the examination of Ubaid.

“I have directed the concerned to arrange the examination for the student,” Ganie said.

Ubaid was released around 11:30 PM last night, hours after the news report regarding his detention was published in online media.
