The 10-year-old Arshdeep Singh from Jalandhar, Indian has won the Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award for his photograph ‘Pipe Owls’ on Tuesday.
The award ceremony was held at the Natural History Museum, London and was organized by Britain’s Natural History Museum.
The award-winning photograph that was shot by Arshdeep outside Kapurthala city, portrays two owlets closely sitting inside a pipe. The image was clicked when Arshdeep was travelling through Punjab’s Kapurthala with his father.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY) is one of the most prestigious and also the largest wildlife photography competition in the world. Started in 1964, the winning entries and runners-up are published in a book format each year since 1992.
