Alastair Cook becomes 5th Batsman to score century in Debut and Farewell Test

Alastair Cook

Former England captain, Alastair Cook became fifth batsman ever to score a century both in his debut and farewell test after scoring a splendid century against Indian on Monday at kennington Oval in London. He is the only English batsman to achieve such feat.

This was the 33rd test century for cook and till now he is England’s leading run-scorer with 12, 472 runs in 161 matches.

In 2006, coincidentally, Cook scored 104* in his debut test against India in Nagpur.
