The 65-year-old woman from Sailan, Surankote in Poonch district, gave birth to a healthy baby girl at a local hospital.
After developing the labour pain the woman as per media reports was admitted in the district hospital Poonch on Wednesday morning.
In the late afternoon, she gave birth to her second child. Her first child is around 8 to 10 years old.
Woman’s husband Hakim Din, 80, thanked Almighty Allah for blessing them with this “precious gift”.
He appealed the administration to provide all possible help in feeding their child properly and also in her studies in the future.
Dr Shahnaza, the gynecologist at the hospital, said the condition of the mother as well as the baby is stable. Both are healthy, she added.
The Medical Superintendent of Valley’s premier maternity hospital Lal Ded, Dr Shabir Sidiqui, termed the case as rarest of rare.
